Appear appear in all thy Pomp
Great Janus appear
great Janus Father of the Year.

Thy new born Infant kindly treat
and with Indulgent smiles caress
That mirth and happiness
may this fam’d Century compleat

Proclaime aloud the Joyfull year
of plenty peace and Fame

Assemble all the chearfull Pow’rs
The Muses and the Graces bring
Awake ye Goddess of the spring
sleeping in Elysian Bow’rs
Tell her how her Triumph stay
till she appears to Grace the day
Assemble all the chearfull pow’rs
and Crown old Winters head with Flow’rs

Proclaim aloud the joyfull year
of plenty peace and Fame.

The Century should thus Conclude
that such amazing scenas has view’d
Europe brought to out must need
Under Cruell Bondage
Lying Wayling groning gasping dying
till by her Noble Chamion freed

For when no Rivall could afford
Reliefe to the disponding Dame
The cause grew worthy of his sword
and then her Perseus came

Appear appear in all thy Pomp
Great Janus Father of the Year
This Iron Age conclude
wth Peace and mirth renew’d
And all yt can presage the next to be the Golden Age
Reserv’d a Monarch’s Reign to Grace
the gratest Hero of the Gratest Race.
1700
